Dutch designers Kiki van Eijk and Joost van Bleiswijk are graduates of Design Academy Eindhoven. The husband and wife duo, working both together and separately, have built a strong following both within the Netherlands and worldwide. Best known for his ‘no glue no screw’ collection, Joost’s works tend to hark back to archetypes such as grandfather clocks, high-backed chairs, goblets, chess sets. Kiki’s work focuses more on the poetic, weaving a personal touch and vision into each piece. They use premium materials and processes in their work, focusing on the physical crafting of design. In addition to their bespoke work, they have collections with brands such as Moooi, Bernhardt Design, Hermès and Saint-Louis.
Their latest projects with Moooi, Bisazza, Nilufar and Nodus, will be shown at this year’s Salone del Mobile. Various works from this presentation will travel to fairs around the world, from Mint Gallery in London to Design Miami/ Basel.Various works from this presentation will travel to fairs around the world, from Mint Gallery in London to Design Miami/ Basel.
