Charlotte Jade is an exciting and innovative luxury interiors brand that takes a fresh and edgy look at nature. Founded by artist Charlotte O’Reilly in 2015, Charlotte Jade offers an eye-catching range of hand drawn designs that celebrate the fascinating plants and animals living on our planet. The ethos behind the company is simple: to reconnect us with the natural world. Based on the concept of Biophilic Design, the Charlotte Jade collections focus on the benefits of bringing elements of nature back into our lives, to reduce stress, aid mental wellbeing and improve productivity. By celebrating the shapes, form, patterns, textures and colours prevalent in our natural environment, Charlotte Jade brings the outside world in and restores our affinity with nature. Charlotte Jade’s designs and products have been used internationally within both commercial and residential properties around the world. Working with retailers such as Harrods, Fenwick, London Zoo and Royal Horticultural Society, along with interior clients such as Costa, Kelly Hoppen, Richmond International, Muza Lab, Scott Brownrigg and Rockwell Group on hotel and commercial developments such as LUX*, Belmond, Hyatt and Assembly Hotel. Charlotte Jade also works with a number of restaurant and bar chains across the UK, with a variety of luxury fabrics and wallpapers being used within interior schemes for Slug & Lettuce, Mitchells & Butlers 'Premium Luxury Pubs' collection and Daisy Green Food Company. What is your current state of mind?: I’m feeling really positive at the moment and focusing on all the good going on in my life! I’m very grateful for the opportunities which have come about over the last year considering what the world has been going through.
Which talent would you most like to have?: Teleporting! Ooo how cool would that be! Hmm, need inspiration for a new collection… I’m just off to Costa Rica for a few months! SEE YA!
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?: I have never been a confident person and I’ve had to really try over the past few years to gain any sort of self-confidence. It has been challenging but slowly I’m getting there, I guess I just wish it came naturally!
What do you consider your greatest achievement?: Last year, I achieved a number of things I am really proud of! Firstly, I collaborated with Harrods on an exclusive, luxury range of cushions, as well as now working with Fenwick on a unique cushions range with the range expected to expand into other products this year. As well as that, in October last year, I started working with Costa Coffee on a bespoke, hand drawn pattern inspired by the growth of the coffee plant and the destinations in which Costa’s coffee beans are grown. The design will be printed as luxury wallpaper, upholstery fabrics and wall art for their new coffee shops throughout the UK. The first store Edwalton Drive-Thru, launched on January 7th 2021, with the next planned for a London store in Summer which I am so excited about! It’s amazing seeing your designs come to life and to work with such a huge brand such as Costa is amazing!
Where would you most like to live?: I love the British Countryside! I’ve been lucky to live in leafy Hertfordshire almost my whole life and I don’t think there’s anything quite like it.
What is your most treasured possession?: My cat Chaz! Ahhh I can’t explain how much I love him and people think I’m a crazy cat lady because of it but Chaz is like a little human, he’s not your average cat! You’d only have to spend 5 minutes with him to know why he’s so wonderful.
What is your favorite occupation?: Charlotte Jade! I love being able to do what I love everyday and building a business around that has just been incredible.
What do you most value in your friends?: Loyalty, Kindness and understanding
Who are your heroes in real life?: My parents! Genuinely! They’ve built their own successful businesses so they are very inspiring. They have encouraged me from day 1 to follow my dreams, even when I had no money and every door got shut in my face, they always believed in me when no one else did and they encouraged me to never give up and to always believe in myself and I will be grateful for that forever.
What is it that you most dislike?: Mayonnaise! Eeeek gives me the shivers even thinking about it!
What is your greatest regret?: I don’t regret anything! I think everything we do is for a reason (cliché as it may sound) and were on our own path!
What is your motto?: Never quit on a bad day!
