Rume Ugen is a digital creative with 7 years experience in content and social media strategy for brands such as ITV and Global radio. As founder and co-host of Cheap Chat, the podcast has gone from strength to strength since it's commission by Global in 2019, climbing into the top 150 UK Apple Podcast charts and ranking at #1 on Apple UK for sexuality in March 2020. Partly, in thanks the show's highly engaged social audience, where the show actively encourages a community of young women to share relatable dating experiences and their dilemmas.

Which living person do you most admire?: I most admire Oprah Winfrey, someone who has created a media empire and using her platform to empower other women.

What is your current state of mind?: Focused, making the most of this time in lockdown to reflect and work towards personal goals.

What do you consider the most overrated virtue?: Patience. I don't like to sit on ideas for too long, I like to get stuck in and see results.

Which words or phrases do you most overuse?: Do you know what I mean?

Which talent would you most like to have?: Singing and dancing, I still think I was a pop star in my former life.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?: Creating my own podcast and having it commissioned.

If you were to die and come back as a person or a thing, what would it be?: I'd come back as Beyonce of course.

Where would you most like to live?: On a beach in Bali

What is your most treasured possession?: My phone

What is your most marked characteristic?: My laugh, it's more of a cackle.

What do you most value in your friends?: Loyalty

Who are your favorite writers?: Maya Angelou

Who are your heroes in real life?: Patricia Bright and Conna Walker, two young, internet and business savvy women who prove you can do it all (whilst wearing stilettos).

What is your greatest regret?: Not starting a business whilst at university.

What is your motto?: Better to ask for forgiveness than permission.
