 India Pappalardo-Strachan is the Founder of IVP Studios, set up in 2017 to help businesses bring their visions to life through brand, graphic and motion design. India is also the Lead UX Designer for News Agency Products at Reuters.  Lockdown was a pivotal time for IVP Studios, businesses were shifting and reframing in reaction to the pandemic and during this time IVP Studios worked with  a number of non-profits, including Run For Heroes and 'A Plate For London'. IVP Studios created the brand and visuals for the Run For Heroes viral social campaign that raised over £7Million for NHS front-line workers. 

What is your greatest extravagance?: Overpriced candles! 

What is your current state of mind?: Inspired - I learnt a lot during lockdown and realised how much can be accomplished when you have the luxury of time. Without long commutes, I had more energy for work and found myself gravitating towards people who were using this period of unknown to bring together communities. That had a knock-on effect and I found that I couldn’t stop the ideas flowing! 

Which talent would you most like to have?: I sing a lot - so for the sake of my loved ones, I would like to have a talent for it!

What do you most value in your friends?: I like surrounding myself with people that feel comfortable opening up to me about their dreams and ambitions, and that I can do the same with... but it is also important to me that we can laugh together until it hurts! 

Who are your heroes in real life?: My mum - no doubt about it. She has taught me the value of hard work and the importance of having a job you love. She is my biggest supporter and my sounding board for big ideas. 

What is your greatest regret?: It took me a long time to understand that you never stop learning. I was not always confident in saying when I didn’t know something - now I just see it as an opportunity for growth.
