With a background in marketing and tech, Lauren is currently Head of Marketing at Lost Stock, an impactful retail business. Lost Stock was set up in the wake of COVID-19, using a fashion box model to connect consumers with the billions of pounds worth of cancelled stock orders, while supporting garment workers and their families. Set up by the team behind shopping app Mallzee, every parcel sold feeds a family for a week and prevents brand new clothing from potentially ending up in landfill.

What is your idea of perfect happiness?: Late afternoons on holiday in the sun with my family. There's something about the moment when 5pm hits and everyone's floating around the pool on a lilo with a beer in hand talking absolute nonsense, solving world issues and just laughing non-stop.

What is your current state of mind?: I feel really content at the moment, which is odd for the middle of a pandemic! I think there's been a lot of silver linings from lockdown, for me it's the slower pace of life. I've stopped doing anything for the sake of it and really started to hone in on what makes me happy which is spending valuable time with friends and family which I appreciate so much more now.

Which words or phrases do you most overuse?: Really embarrassing things like "No problemo" or "Okay doke" as if I'm in a 90's sitcom.

Where would you most like to live?: While I still have my Gossip Girl dreams of upping and moving to New York, I'd love to move back to Spain. Sunny weather just makes everything so much easier, lifts your mood and makes you want to be more sociable. Life is less rushed there, you're encouraged to take your time and just enjoy your days. The food isn't half bad either!

What is your most marked characteristic?: People always mention that I'm "nice", which sounds a bit blah but I will totally take it. My co-workers take it as a sign that something is seriously bad if I'm at all visibly annoyed, because it takes a lot to shake me! I've never been a complainer, my Mum says even as a toddler I would just stare at other toddlers throwing tantrums with such confusion over why they were wasting their energy.

What is your greatest regret?: I read recently not to think of things as regrets, but as lessons. Even if the lesson is "don't drink a bottle of prosecco on an empty stomach", that takes the nasty feeling in the pit of your stomach away much faster than diving into a regret spiral!
