Talenia Phua Gajardo is the CEO & Founder of The Artling, a curated online art and design gallery. The Artling closed a $2.5m Series A round in 2017 from luxury media company, Edipresse Group. The Artling has amassed artworks from over 200 art galleries and close to 2,000 artists and designers from 22 countries ranging from Thailand, Indonesia, India, Japan, Korea and more. She previously founded her own interior architecture & design practice which she started after working for Zaha Hadid Architects for several years in London. With the Artling, she aims to build strong communities both locally and within the region involving like-minded passionate collectors, also enabling galleries, artists and designers to reach new audiences via the online platforms. Talenia is Singaporean, received a BA (Hons) Architecture from Central Saint Martin's in London and is a Loke Cheng Yim Scholar. She is currently based in Singapore where her and her team continuously search for amazing items across the region.

 What is your idea of perfect happiness? Obtaining the highest possible levels of Emotional, Intellectual and Financial Capital.

What is your greatest extravagance? Being able to travel the world for my passions: Art, Architecture & Design.

What is your current state of mind? Zen.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? My impulsiveness.

What do you consider your greatest achievement? Building a brand and an amazing team that shares the same vision: to share art, design, and culture with a global audience.

Where would you most like to live? I love being in Singapore and have lived in London for almost 10 years. I could also easily reside in Shanghai, New York, or LA.

What is your favorite occupation? What I am doing right now!

What do you most value in your friends? Their loyalty, support, and non-judgement. I am very fortunate and am grateful every single day.

Who is your hero of fiction? K (Blade Runner).

What is it that you most dislike? Procrastination (in myself and others).

What is your greatest regret? Don't have any.

What is your motto? There's always a lesson to be learnt - Everything happens for a reason.
